Upon the implementation of the Mental Health Act in 2023, David was one of the first lawyers in the country to be placed on the expert panel of Decision Making Representatives. The new act is a long overdue development in human rights law and we are exited to be a part of it.

After qualifying as a solicitor, David has focused on employment law, and worked in the employment department of a major international law firm.
He was appointed as an Adjudication Officer to the Workplace Relations Commission in 2022 and operates his own legal practice, specialising in both employment law and capacity law.
David’s qualifications include an Advanced Diploma in Employment Law from the Kings Inns, a Certificate in Workplace Adjudication from the National College of Ireland, and a Certificate in Mediation from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He also regularly teaches at the Law Society, University of Limerick, and University College Cork.
